Did You Know There Is Only ONE Way To Build Confidence? Yes, there are tons of tools & strategies out there (like therapy approaches, coaching, books & programs). Why have all these books and programs if there’s only one way?

These tools are providing additional guidance and support and help people get ready to do the one way. But no matter how many books you read, or how many programs you buy, if you don’t do this one way you won’t build lasting confidence. 

Everything else is ancillary, it's supportive.  

 

This is the one thing:

The ONLY way to build life-changing confidence is to consistently do things that make you uncomfortable. 

 

As a by-product, this practice builds confidence, self-esteem, self-assurance, and a deep sense of competence.

 

Imagine, for a moment, a boat skimming along the surface of the water. What do you see behind the boat? This is called the wake. It’s the way that the waves kinda ripple out that creates a V-shape wake behind the boat. 

 

The confidence, self-assuredness, and the life that you seek are going to be the wake of the boat. They come AFTER.

 

You, my friend, are the captain who is steering the boat. And if you steer the boat towards what makes you uncomfortable, then your wake will be confidence, success, and so much more.

 

To put it another way: 

 

If you are not willing to be uncomfortable you will never have lasting confidence. 

 

Otherwise, it’s all just up and down, bobbing along the waves of circumstance. Your circumstances might improve by good fortune  and then you say ‘’God I feel good today!’’ 

 

Your circumstances might get worse and degrade due to bad fortune and you say ‘’Oh man, I feel terrible today!’’ 

 

The only way to build confidence is to consistently do the things that make you uncomfortable in order to have a by-product of confidence, self-assuredness, and all that you want.

 

That’s where all the other tools and strategies come in. They’re about helping you find your courage, build self-compassion, and have a new mindset. All of that is supportive and helps you to go take the action that will transform your life (and make you uncomfortable!).
